AREA DESCRIPTION

WHAT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING?
Since February 2022, this area has been the subject of a trial damming project with the particular aim of raising the peatland water levels in the summer months. The damming trial is accompanied by hydrological measurements at three groundwater measuring points and one surface water measuring site in order to document the success of the water retention and to prevent damage to the neighbouring building development.
TASKS
The Möllmer Seewiesen area is one of our new project areas. We are currently working on researching existing data and filling gaps in the data. Contact has already been established with users and owners, gauges have been set and regularly read, and models for development scenarios have been created.
